Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Aclara is looking for a Full-Time Field Supervisor to manage field crews installing smart meters. We are looking for utility-experienced, highly motivated individuals willing to perform at and hold others to high standards of safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

Train Meter Installers in proper safety and installation processes.
Delegate assignments
Evaluate Meter Installer performance and ensure required efficiency is being achieved.
Meet deployment schedule while achieving standards of safety, productivity, and quality of work.
Mentor and guide installation crews, achieving low employee turnover and high morale.
Resolve problem tickets in a timely, prescribed manner, including escalations to customer.
Perform required safety inspections, tailboard sessions prior to work and in the field.
Ensure project resources follow the required safety practices and installation processes.

Skills and Experience

• Valid Driver’s License,
• Utility/Plumbing AND supervisory experience required. Associate degree and metering experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the principles of metering.
• Previous experience with automated work order management systems.
• Willingness and ability to commute to job sites in various geographies.
